Description

Abstract Concept

An Initiative is any piece of work that is undertaken or attempted under the responsibility of a Steering Authority.

Initiatives range from single project to long term initiatives ( Enduring Initiative) such as Enterprises.

Initiatives are sychronized over time using Initiative Milestones.

Systemic Levels of Initiative: an Initiative is either a Management Initiative or an Enterprise Initiative
Initiative Kind of Initiative: an Initiative is either an Operational Transformation or an Assurance Initiative
Structural Partition of Initiative: an Initiative is either a Time-bound Initiative, an Initiative Stage or an Enduring Initiative

Functional Domain: Initiative and Transformation Pattern

The Initiative and Transformation Pattern domain defines management concepts required for transformation initiatives.
